Since co-founding the internationally-acclaimed band, Good Ol’ Persons, in 1975, Kathy Kallick has:

won a Grammy and two IBMA Awards for her part on True Life Blues: The Songs Of Bill Monroe
had six title tracks and albums — Call Me A Taxi, Walkin’ In My Shoes, Warmer Kind Of Blue, Between the Hollow and the High-Rise, Time, Foxhounds, and Horrible World — each spend a year in the top echelon of the national bluegrass charts
released 21 albums — with the Good Ol’ Persons (1975-1995), Kathy Kallick & the Little Big Band (1993-1996), and the Kathy Kallick Band (1996-present), as well as solo outings and collaborations with Laurie Lewis — which include more than 150 of her original compositions and arrangements.
performed and recorded with the Frank Wakefield Band
written and recorded award-winning music for children and families
appeared on three high-profile Rounder collections of bluegrass songs by women, as well as noteworthy compilations of songs about baseball, trains, spiritual matters, families, broken hearts, Christmas, and mothers
toured throughout North America, Europe, and Japan
received a Lifetime Membership award from the California Bluegrass Association … and
collaborated with the country’s top acoustic musicians – including her fabulous current band: Annie Staninec, Cary Black, Greg Booth, and Tom Bekeny.

Kathy is also an experienced teacher, offering instruction in singing, songwriting, guitar, and band coaching as part of many music camps including the California Bluegrass Association Music Camp, Rockygrass Academy (Colorado), Augusta Heritage Center (West Virginia), Sore Fingers (England), Monroe Mandolin Camp (Tennessee), Puget Sound Guitar Workshop (Washington), Nimblefingers (BC, Canada), Bluegrass at the Beach (Oregon), Walker Creek Music Camp (California), and the California Coast Music Camp.
