Rick Jamison is a songwriter, guitarist, and painter from Northern California. He also maintains a blog titled On Songwriting: Musings On the Art Of Composing Original Music wherein he shares some of his thoughts on the matter, and regularly interviews other songwriters to get theirs. Rick's two part interview with Kathy was first published on Feb. 28th and March 8th, 2009: Part 1 and Part 2



Here's a 45 minute interview Kathy did April 26th with Ray Edlund on his "Pig In A Pen" program on KPFA.



Have a listen to the Bill Monroe/Robert VanWinkle song "Close By" performed by the Kathy Kallick Band (joined by a second fiddler, Chad Manning) at the Noe Valley Ministry in SF on Feb. 13, 2009, at the the San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival. This is the band that will be performing at various venues throughout May (see the schedule):

The KKB was recorded live in the KPFA studio on may 3rd on Tom Diamont's "Panhandle Country" program. It's 48 minutes and you can listen to it here.
